Abstract:
Currently governments and industry are attempting to implement a more
disciplined risk management approach into their decision making model,
specifically an approach called risk-informed decision making. A
"risk-informed" approach to decision making represents a philosophy
whereby risk insights are considered together with other factors to
establish requirements or focus attention on design and operational
issues commensurate with their importance to safety and other areas
such as organizational goals, performance, or compliance.
Mr. Lutomski will help you to understand and practice implementing the
Risk-Informed Decision Making approach. He will explore the many
processes and techniques that collect information that are used to
inform decision making and apply more disciplined Risk Information
Decision Making approach to your own area of Risk Management.
